Whether you’re joining us first thing for a Garden Bloody Mary pick-me-up or a late nightcap, we will smash, muddle, blend, shake and throw our way to making you your perfect drink. All of our cocktails are designed with the Kitchen Garden in mind.

Our Head Kitchen Gardener at THE PIG-at Bridge Place provides all of the essential ingredients to infuse our Chase Distillery Spirits with. Like our restaurant, our aim is to provide high-quality products in the most sustainable, local and resourceful way possible. Can we tempt you to try something just a little bit different?

English Wine

Wine brings people together – it is the perfect blend!

We believe that wine and food are all about sharing good times with family and friends, cracking open a bottle and settling into an evening together; wine is very much at the heart of THE PIG experience.

Loving local is in our DNA, and when it comes to wine we love nothing more than fruit from our own soil. Our wine lists across the litter boast a HUGE selection of the very best of English wine produced with 25 miles from THE PIG-at Bridge Place including Simpsons Wine Estate (2.5 miles), Gusbourne Estate (19.5 miles), Chapel Down (20.5 miles), Hush Heath Estate (25 miles), as well as across the country including Squerryes (60 miles) and Danbury Ridge (75.9 miles).

Our Kent location means we are lucky enough to be surrounded by some of the best breweries, wineries, and distilleries out there! We have gathered them all at THE PIG-at Bridge Place so that you can sip and slurp away, knowing that what you are drinking has been produced only a few miles from our very own bar.

Garden infusions with Chase Distillery

Head to the bar in any of our PIGs, and you’ll notice our eclectic collections of botanical-infused Chase Distillery vodkas with all sorts of garden pickings including Rosemary, Thyme, Basil, Horseradish, Cucumber, Strawberry and Pelagonium! The teams behind the bar at THE PIG are the curators of these diverse concoctions, made with herbs and flavours sourced from our Kitchen Gardens when they’re at their absolute best.

Wine Garden of England

Kent is the Garden of England, nestled between London and the continent and world renowned for its rural beauty, rich heritage, spectacular coastline - and now its world class wine.

Our musical honey-pot PIG at Bridge Place is a proud supporter of the Wine Garden of England - a world-class wine trail through the stunning Kent countryside. Linking seven of the top wine producers; Simpsons, Gusbourne, Squerryes, Chapel Down, Biddenden, Hush Heath and Domain Evremond, they group Kent's pioneers many of who already deliver award-winning wines around the world.

Garden to glass cocktails

At THE PIG-at Bridge Place we like to make the most out of what we grow in the Kitchen Gardens, which is why you won't find a bar around quite like ours.

We are lucky enough to be able to use ingredients from our plot to experiment with new cocktail ideas, from picking Lemon Verbena and mixing with Hambledon and sugar to make a syrup, to garnishing a Foragers Fizz with fresh mint.

Our 29 bedroom, Queen Anne manor house is tucked away just outside the historic village of Bridge, three miles south of Canterbury.

The hotel is 3 miles away from Canterbury; the drive should take 15 minutes. There’s free parking when you arrive.

Nearest station

The closest station to THE PIG-at Bridge Place is Bekesbourne Station, two miles away. South Eastern runs regular services to Canterbury West station also from London St Pancras International which will get you to Canterbury in under an hour.

If you're getting to us by taxi, give Kev's Taxi a call on 07887668940 who'll be able to get you over to ours in no time. They're a family run company based in Canterbury that have a wide selection of vehicles seating up to 8 people.
